Are Silver Eagle Coins Just Warming Up?

I collect Silver Eagle coins and other silver coins from around the world. Australia, Canada, China and Great Britain are just four of the countries whose pure silver coins I buy.

I recently read a report by silver analyst Theodore Butler. I don’t know if his views are right or will prove to be right, but he’s been watching the market for a long time.
He said that “silver is just warming up for what should be much higher prices to come”

One ounce Silver Eagles are official American (US Mint) one-dollar coins. Because of this they are often called American Eagle silver dollars.
Silver Eagle coins were introduced in 1986. Since that time more than 165 million of them have been minted, making Silver Eagles the most successful U.S. Mint silver bullion coins ever minted.
Silver Eagle Coin
Each Silver Eagle coin contains one ounce of pure, .999 fine silver and carries a symbolic $1 face value. The Silver Eagles’ one-dollar face value officially makes American Silver Eagles legal tender. Because the law that permits the U.S. Mint to turn out Silver Eagles classifies them “numismatic,” the Mint is allowed to sell Silver Eagles at prices above the one-dollar face value.

Silver Eagles are shipped in boxes of 500. Each box contains 25 tubes with twenty Silver Eagles to each tube. A sealed box weighs 42 pounds and measures 15″X9″X5″.
2010 Silver Eagles Prices
The minimum order for Silver Eagles is a Mint-sealed box of 500 coins, sometimes called a Silver Eagle Monster Box. In a Mint-sealed box of 500 coins, 2010-dated Silver Eagles sell at a markup over spot prices of $2.80 each coin. Larger orders enjoy still smaller markups over spot.
There are many alternatives to American Eagle silver dollars Examples include the Royal Canadian Mint’s Canadian mapleleaf silver coins , which are .9999 fine (99.99% pure). Silver Maple Leafs also come 500 to a box and usually are priced the same as Silver Eagles, if not lower.
Occasionally when silver trades above $15, backdated American Silver Eagles sometimes are available at lower markups than current year Silver Eagle coins. Rarely are backdated Silver Eagles available when silver trades below $15.
